Connect kids back to the real world…
“We’ve seen children’s imagination returning, as they become less reliant on screens.”

Beyond the Screen: Helping Learners Thrive
- Go smartphone FREE: ensure learners genuinely have no access to their phones, freeing up time for focused learning and friendship-building without the burden of constant distraction.
- Say YES to PLAY: Many learners need to be shown how to play. Organised activities e.g. games or gardening in break times can help kids re-discover play.
- Nature Connectivity: Utilise and increase outdoor learning opportunities, holding lessons outside when you can. Being in nature is an instant boost for well-being.
- Mindful Breathing: Help learners be present in the moment and access calm. Game changer for well-being and increasing concentration.
- Highlight Real-Life Likes: Create a culture of positive feedback within school and replace the dopamine hit from screens with “real-life” likes.
