It was great to get on the waterside with families at Hatton Locks, after all the work that goes into development of our programmes actually seeing them in action is an amazing feeling. Thanks to all the families that joined us.

Sessions were delivered by Laura Dumbleton-Jones and Miranda de Freston – Directors of HCK, also in attendance were representatives from Canal & River Trust offering waterside safety tips and introducing the team to the new session.

It was really cold, so it was amazing to have everyone who signed up along the waterside with us at Hatton Locks.

Session 2, again we had a full house and even some four legged friends in attendance.

Many families commented how precious it was to sit quietly together and to have this time without other distractions and it was incredibly special to see rapport and relationships being built upon during this activity.

Families also consistently commented on how lovely it was to be at the canal and that they hadn’t thought to come to the canal with their family until today.

The sessions were also really enjoyed by the Canal & River Trust staff with them being especially moved by the new Canal Story.
