Session 1 – Provided a space for staff to connect, share and do some fun an interactive tools for self-coaching. When we are in a good place ourselves, we are in a better place to support others e.g learners.

Session 2 – Focussed on giving staff transformational tools to help learners.

The staff returned to the second session with lots of positive feedback and stories from the previous week and the changes that they had seen and were already making in themselves and how it was positively effecting others around them.

Feedback:

  • “Great atmosphere”
  • “The tools that you teach are manageable and impactful for both adults and children. The most beneficial part for me, is that they are instant. You can learn them quickly, use them immediately, and feel the benefit instantly. Simple yet powerful tools that positively impact everyone that uses them. Thank you. “
  • “Thank you for the sessions, I found the hand breathing tools particularly helpful with my own son who is 3 and struggles to regulate himself. “
  • “The sessions were very powerful, inspiring and motivational.”
  • “Thank-you I have learnt to be less hard on myself.”
  • “Excellent sessions delivered with care, love and passion. “
  • “So simple but effective “

Staff Glimmers (tiny moments of joy) from the session:

  • “It’s just lovely to spend a little time with different colleagues “
  • “Finding confidence in my ability to support own and others wellbeing “
  • “The power of taking time to invest in yourself.”
  • “Seeing your joy at watching others use these fantastic tools and realising their power. 💓”
  • “I enjoyed the breathing exercises”

We saw the transformational positive impact on the members of staff that attended, and staff fed back the immediate impact it had on their lives and also how it was great for them to connect together.

During a “glimmer seeker” training sessions a teacher fed back that “taking five” had completely changed how she felt, in just a week. She was much calmer, had more energy also saw a massive change in her children.

Another teacher who took 5 mins of mindful breathing before heading into school noticed a positive change in his students. He told us how a certain pupil wouldn’t communicate with him but recently she had started to respond to him. He realised it was down to the fact that he now looked more approachable and relaxed since taking 5.

At the end of the session participants said they were grateful to have found a ‘safe space’ within the workshop. Many saying they will miss the workshops and really enjoyed them.

In the post session survey 100% of attendees would recommend these sessions to another member of staff.
